According to Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav, during the initial interrogation, Kapil Pandit, who arrived in West Bengal (near the Indo-Nepal border), revealed that he (along with Sachin Bishnoi and Santosh Yadav) had gone to Mumbai on the orders of Lawrence Bishnoi to conduct a recce of Salman Khan in order to plan his killing.

Earlier this month, a threatening letter was allegedly sent to Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, stating that both father and son would soon meet the same fate as slain singer Sidhu Moosewala.
On the orders of Lawrence Bishnoi, Punjab Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav announced on Sunday that an accused in the Sidhu Moose Wala death case reportedly conducted a recce in Mumbai to target Bollywood actor Salman Khan. According to police sources who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the letter in Hindi stated that both Salim Khan and his son Salman Khan would soon meet the same fate as slain singer Siddhu Moosewala (Tera Moosawala bana denge).

“During interrogation, Kapil Pandit, one of the arrested accused, stated that he, Sachin Bishnoi, and Santosh Yadav conducted a reconnaissance in Mumbai to target Salman Khan on the orders of Lawrence Bishnoi; we will also question them,” he added.
According to ANI, DGP Yadav stated that a plan was devised in collaboration with Sampat Nehra to target Salman Khan, which we learned about on May 30. He also stated that a Red Corner Notice was issued against gangster Goldy Brar through Interpol with the assistance of central agencies.
The DGP also stated that 23 people have been arrested in connection with the death of Sidhu Moose Wala. “A total of 23 accused have been arrested so far, two accused have been neutralised in an encounter, and 35 accused have been nominated,” said Punjab DGP while speaking with media here.

Deepak Mundi, the main accused, and his two associates, Kapil Pandit and Rajinder, were apprehended by Nepal Police on Saturday. According to the DGP, Rajinder Joker, who was in Nepal, was in contact with Goldie Brar and was planning to flee to Dubai and then to Thailand on a fake passport.

“It took 105 days to investigate the entire matter, and the states where the accused were hiding were Haryana, Rajasthan, and West Bengal,” he said, adding that Kapil Pandit and Rajinder Joker were already named as suspects, not shooters, but they were involved. “Those who suspect Balkar Singh are also being investigated,” he said, according to ANI.
